Across the bridge in West Kelowna boasts some of the region’s best winery experiences! We love Mt. Boucherie, newly renovated in a state-of-the-art facility with an incredible, modern tasting room. The tasting itself is an incredible experience with highly knowledgeable staff & a wide variety to choose from. You can choose indoor or outdoor tastings, weather dependent, and their tasting room is open the latest of all of the West side! Off The Grid Organic Winery
This is a fun one! No need to dress up here, Off The Grid is a fully functioning farm & winery. Carve out extra time for this stop, you are going to want to walk around and see all the adorable animals! Famous for having goats literally ON the roof, this is a fun visit for adults and kids alike. We love organic, minimal intervention wine and they’re picnic area has a food truck with yummy bites. It’s also pet-friendly so pack up the whole family & enjoy a fun afternoon at the farm! While you’re in the area drop by Paynter’s market for fresh produce & an ice cream! Located in West Kelowna.
Black Swift Vineyards
New-ish to the West Side Wine Trail, this tasting room is WOW and a must-see! Featuring a playful, expansive interior that boasts floor to ceiling glass windows & clever touches like custom wallpaper that features art from their wine bottles. Stay a while here with a food truck (check seasonally!) & the option of doing your tasting in a picnic area, or grabbing a bottle of wine and enjoying at a table! The view is incredible located off of Boucherie road & will quickly become a fav spot to visit. Black Swift makes one of our fav Pinot Blancs in the valley, too! Located in West Kelowna.
Frind Winery
North Americas only beachfront winery, woolala! You must check this out as soon as possible! In the spring they offer outdoor tastings, a huge grassy lawn for photos & a sweeping lakefront where you can literally dip your toes while sipping. There are tons of options at Frind including a cafe, sit-down outdoor restaurant, takeaway pizza, lakeside picnic tables, fire pit & more! This is a go-to hangout in the summertime, you can even dock your boat up front. Ensure you book your tasting ahead of time, they start to get super busy in the spring. Oh, and their beachfront is even pet & kid friendly!! We love their Brut sparkling wine and you will too! Located in East Kelowna.
Beaumont Family Estate Winery
Organic wine lovers rejoice! Beaumont offers such a fun tasting experience with a laid back vibe, cozy feels and friendly staff! Fun options during your tasting often include a white pinot noir & their bubbly labeled “Spritz & Giggles”. Certified organic winery right in the heart of the west side wine trail. Make sure you add Beaumont to your next trip, right in the heart of all the action on Boucherie road! Located in West Kelowna.
Ciao Bella Winery
Family-run vineyard at it’s finest! This is a backyard winery perched on the hillside in West Kelownas farm loop. Laid back with a splash of fun, the entire garden is decorated with Italian flags, heirlooms & more. A member of the family is often guiding your tasting with tons of intricate knowledge on the wines & vineyard. They are in the process of switching to fully organic & use minimal intervention in their wine-making practice. This offers a more laid back feel from the grandiose wineries and is definitely worth checking out. Located in West Kelowna.
Cedar Creek Estate Winery
Put on your glad-rags and make your way over to Cedar Creek! Recently redone with an outstanding renovation that will WOW everyone in your group! Stunning views, delicious wine & incredible selection. Once you’re up here, you’re going to want to hang out a while. Book a reservation at their on-site restaurant Home Block & get dressed up for the occasion! They also offer an awesome weekend brunch if you are visiting earlier in the day. Located in East Kelowna.
Crown & Thieves Winery
A winery experience unlike any other! This is a must-see stop, a building constructed to look like a renaissance castle. The architecture is outstanding, views are stunning and interior design makes you feel like you’ve been transported to another time & place. Oh, and the wines themselves are fabulous too! The bottom floor hosts a speakeasy with cocktails & charcuterie. Crown & Thieves gets busy and they don’t accept reservations at this time so plan accordingly! A huge bonus is if you want to wait out the line a bit, they are located directly beside sister cidery Truck 59 which has the best grassy lawn to sip dry, Okanagan cider! You WILL need your camera for this stop. Located in West Kelowna.
