Precision Electrical & Air has successfully completed the installation of dual air conditioning systems at a residential property in Tarragindi. This project entailed the provision and installation of a Daikin ducted system on the upper level, as well as a Daikin high-wall split system positioned in the downstairs living room.

Thorough Installation of the Daikin FDYAN160AV1 16.0kW Ducted Air Conditioning System

Precision Electrical & Air carried out a comprehensive installation of the Daikin FDYAN160AV1 16.0kW ducted air conditioning system. The indoor unit was strategically placed within the ceiling space above the void, while the condenser was securely mounted on the front balcony wall using rubber feet for added stability. All connections between the indoor and outdoor units were meticulously concealed within ductwork as they exited from the ceiling space.

To facilitate efficient water drainage, two drainage systems were installed from the indoor unit and safety tray leading to the external gutter. The installation included careful placement of ducting, branch takeoffs, zone motors, and air plenums throughout the ceiling space, ensuring seamless integration with the indoor unit. A return air grille was also installed in the upstairs hallway to optimise the system’s airflow.

A dedicated electrical sub-circuit was established, extending from the switchboard to the outdoor unit, featuring an NHP isolation switch conveniently located adjacent to the condenser. In the upstairs hallway, a MyZone Multipoint touchpad zone controller was installed, allowing for intuitive temperature control linked directly to the zone motors.

In the downstairs living room, the Daikin FTXV80W 8.0kW high-wall reverse cycle split system was installed with precision. New ducting, interconnect cables, and copper pair coils were added to connect the indoor and outdoor units, with the condenser also mounted on rubber feet to ensure stability during operation.

A dedicated electrical circuit was established from the switchboard to the outdoor condenser, which included an NHP isolation switch for safety purposes. An Aspen Silent+ Mini condensation pump was installed beneath the indoor unit and connected to the nearest stormwater downpipe, enabling efficient drainage. Upon completion, the system underwent thorough commissioning to guarantee optimal performance.
